BPM Studio is an MP3 music mixer that allows you to edit, mix, encode and compose tracks using a professional-looking interface. Most users will find more pros than cons with BPM Studio.

The look and feel of BPM Studio’s interface is reminiscent of professional studio hardware. You’ll find all the functionality and control you’d want in a serious mixer. The interface is also very smooth, which can be essential in the music composition process; switching between the music list, ripper, and mixer is seamless and feels very natural.

BPM Studio offers its users six different cue points in a single track. For quick and easy access, the sample player is also right in between the two track modules. As is common for music mixers, BPM Studio allows you to view tracks in wave-editing mode for precision edits.

Dragging and dropping music from your own personal music library is fairly easy with BPM Studio. The music list’s functionality is also user friendly; you can use the search bar to find the tracks you need. Additionally, any tracks or playlists you create are remembered by the program, so you don’t have to retype the track or playlist name when you’re looking for it.

This MP3 music mixer's three cross fade settings also allow for creativity. When working with the two tracks, you have one of three options: cross fade manually, toggle the auto-cross fade option, or set the cross fade points in the track ahead of time.

Despite all of this solid usability, there are some downsides. For example, the option to set the cross fade point ahead of time is reportedly not very accurate. Additionally, BPM Studio’s professional-looking interface can often feel overwhelming and even intimidating for users who are new to mixing. And BPM Studio offers only 30 pre-included tracks, which means you’ll most likely have to rely on your own personal tracks to give the music list some real substance. Speaking of the music list, as convenient as its functionality is, if you’re using this program in a live DJ setting, the search capabilities may not react as fast as needed.

All in all, it seems that BPM Studio is a decent MP3 music mixer which boasts some solid features and functionality: three different cross fade options, six cue points per track, and a decent interface. Any intermediate DJ on the lookout for an MP3 music mixer would most likely benefit from BPM Studio.
